Durability
The Honeywell Xenon 1902 isn’t designed for heavy-duty use in hostile environments, but it does offer ample durability for its target applications. It operates in temperatures ranging from 32°F to 122°F, with ideal storage temperatures between -40°F and 158°F. It functions at its best in 0 to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing, and in tests survives 50 6-foot drops to concrete. There is an optional disinfectant-ready housing designed to better-resist harsh chemicals, making it suitable for chemical processing and similar applications.
It offers a motion tolerance of up to 240 inches per second, dependent on the quality of the bar code, lighting, and other external influencing factors. Its 1800 mAh Li-ion minimum charges fully in about 4.5 hours and will last up to 14 hours of standard use, with the ability to take up to 50,000 scans on a single charge.
