It’s capable of reading barcodes up to 10 mil in density for QR, PDF417 and Data Matrix barcodes, and a density of 6.67 mil for Grid Matrix barcodes. A full 360-degree reading direction means no shuffling and repositioning to read most barcodes with the Syscan GM800. For PDF417 barcodes, it offers a 180-degree reading direction.
Durability
The Syscan GM800’s rubber handle means it’s less likely to slip from the user’s hand, and it also absorbs some shock if the scanner is dropped on a hard surface and lands on the handle. The Syscan GM800 can withstand drops from up to 1.5 meters high on concrete, so it’s useful for applications such as warehousing in which users may be elevated by ladders or on forklifts.
The Syscan GM800 isn’t a military-grade handheld scanner, but it can withstand exposure to common conditions such as temperatures between 32 degrees and 104 degrees Fahrenheit, with humidity ranging between 20% and 80% RH.
